Sunday 18th July was round 5 of the Sonu Baits Individual league,this week Arles pool has been producing some fantastic weights and did not dissapoint .Mike placed one section on the pool which was shared with pleasure anglers on the other side.No deterant for the match men as 10 of them weighed in a fantastic 1172lbs of mixed fish, with a top weight of 209.14lbs and the lowest weight of 85lbs.

Friday 3rd July we witnessed another great match.Our  afternoon scramble was fished on Ghost and did not dissapoint,the first five caught 892lbs,with more good back up weights.The favoured bait is a combination of our feeder & hooker pellets and sweetcorn.

Round 2 Sonu Baits Individual Match Sunday 27th June 2010.

Another fanatstice fishing match at Woodlands.Round 2 of the Sonu Baits Individual match.The anglers that chose to fish rather than watch Germany beat England were rewarded with an outstanding fishing match.The weigh in at 8.30pm started with the lowest weights coming in at just below 100lbs ,followed by more anglers averaging 150lbs leading up to Andy Pollard fishing High 28 weighed in 183.2lbs,thought he was in with a good chance of winning.However Danny Baker from Wales on High 11 with 195.5lbs was hot on his tail.At the time of weighing him in Mike believed that he had won the match.He then got a phone call from Adrian weighing in on Deans to say that Ian Wood has broken last years fishery record of 272.09lbs by Andy Williams with a whopping 275.6lbs.Mike's next angler to weigh in on High 13 was Ian Bowden,his was weight was 285.5lbs,starting with approximately 130lbs of fish around a lb in weight .Whilst watching his fish been weighed in the anglers said Ian looked like he would break the new rocord just set .Mike said no way it's an impossibilty ,not realising that Ian had taken the iniative to use 3 keep nets .Ian's method for the match had been fish down the side and out using Woodlands own feeder & hooker pelletts and corn.

So Ian Bowden had just knocked Ian Wood off the top spot having been the record holder for approximately 5 minutes.In addition to that he also won the Bonus peg winning a further £500.

A BRILLIANT NIGHTS FISHING HAD BY ALL.

MIKE & ADRIAN TOGETHER WITH THE ANGLERS ANTICIPATE THAT THIS RECORD WILL GET BROKEN AGAIN THIS YEAR.

SUNDAY WAS THE 9TH ROUND OF OUR SONU BAITS INDIVIDUAL LEAGUE.IT WAS UNDOUBTEDLY THE BEST MATCH EVER AT WOODLANDS ,52 ANGLERS FISHED,THE TOP 20 WEIGHTS WERE ALL IN EXCESS OF 100LBS.OVERALL THE AVERAGE WEIGHT FOR THE 52 ANGLERS WAS 114LB,

A GRAND TOTAL OF 5940LBS WEIGHT OF FISH CAUGHT.
