HOOKER PELLET PREPARATION
There are many different options to prepare your hooker pellets;the following are just a few examples to start experimenting;
WOODLANDS EXPANDERS
As a guide immerse a small quantity of Woodlands expander Pellets into water and pump until all of the pellets sink to the bottom then remove all the water.
Here are 3 differing options on how to prepare your hook bait.
1.Put 100ml of pumped pellets into a plastic bag adding just 50ml water before sealing the bag but remember to leave sufficent air to allow the pellets to move around and soak up the water.Keep cool
2.Put 100ml of pumped pellets into a shallow dish(Chinese take away container is ideal) then add 100ml of water and CSL combined,or concentrate of choice,mixed 50/50,just cover the pellets with the water additive/mixture.Any preferred flavourings can also be added at this stage.Leave until all of the liquids have been soaked up before adding the lid or placing into a plastic bag.If the pellets are too soft reduce the amount of water/additive you add.
3.Add sachets of Gelatine into boiling water stir until dissolved,add cold water to cool slightly and then place the liquid and 100ml of pelletts into a pellet pump.After pumping remove any surplus liquid before it cools off,then place the pelletts into a plastic bag and keep cool.For a firmer pellet add more gelatine up to 3 sachets can be used.(Experiment with more if necessary).
Flavoured jelly cubes can also be used as an alternative.
Whilst fishing only take a few pellets out at a time as they can easily dry ouy,start to float,or become soft.
WOODLANDS SINKING FEED PELLETS;
Sinking feed pelletts sizes 4m,6m and 8m can also be used as hook baits by following this user guide.Please note, if the pellets are pale in appearance they will not accept copious amounts of water.
1.Place the pellets into a shallow container (Chinese container) then add water to double the depth of the pellet.If the pellets are tightly packed at the base of the dish or trapped inside a container they will not swell as much,if they are allowed to swim they can double in size.(But they may become too soft).Please not , pale in appearance will not accept lots of water.
For the paler pellet it may be better to use one of the following alternatives.
2.Place the pellets into a shallow dish (Chinese container) then add water or water/csl mixture combined to the depth of the pellet being prepared.Once all of the liquid has been absorbed either add a lid or transfer to a plastic bag.
If too soft,add less water/mixture.
3.Mix between 1-3 sachets(As preferred) of Gellatine or Jelly cubes into hot water,add cold water to cool slightly,then place the liquid and pellets into a pellet pump.After between 5-10 minutes the pellets should be pumped two or three times to draw the liquid through before draining off the surplus as any remaining liquid/mixture will solidify on cooling.
4.Alternatively the warm Gelantine mixture can simply be poured ono the pellets inside a container,the pellets will absorb this mixture as they soften but remeber too drain off any surplus before it cools off properly.
