Slightly larger than Hay or Barley at an acre in size, it holds 25 pegs and is often fished by anglers using either the waggler or feeder out in the centre on maggots, caster, sweetcorn, meat or pellets.

Although there are large numbers of fish in the 8oz to 1lb range, winning match catches average about 70lbs whilst the good head of silver fish mean the pool fishes well in both summer and winter.

Because Ghost Pool is reserved for high-profile competitions it is not available to pleasure anglers. It is fed daily when not being fished which may account why many anglers achieve their personal best weight on this pool.

Again, like Hay and Barley, competitions on this water have been regularly won with weights in excess of 100lbs and during one competition in 2004 every angler averaged 90lbs per man.
